After introducing SKYfi club to the market in September 2013, KID-Systeme has announced that its wireless inflight entertainment (IFE) platform is now being trialled by Cebu Pacific Air.
SKYfi club is being trialled on five Airbus A330s, which Cebu currently operates on flights to Dubai, Sydney, Kuwait, Singapore, Incheon, and selected domestic flights. It will complement inflight connectivity services the airline already offers by allowing passengers to stream content to their personal electronic devices (PEDs) as well as providing the crew with new statistical tools.
Installation was completed without any aircraft downtime.
The original SKYfi product was pioneered by KID-Systeme with Airbus in 2007 and is now deployed by over 40 airlines worldwide.
