Air Vallée has announced its intention to operate a daily service from Parma to Catania from 14 January 2012 and also a new route from Parma to Bucharest which is expected to start on 31 March.
The announcement of new routes to Catania and Bucharest follows Air Vallée’s recent announcement that it will base two Embraer aircraft at Parma Airport from March 2012 and the recent announcement of a twice-daily service to Paris Charles de Gaulle, also beginning on 31 March.
Michele Costantino, president of Air Vallée Holding Company, commented, “We are pleased to be able to launch this new service to Catania ahead of the new based operation at Parma. Catania is an important destination for the area and we are sure that the Air Vallée service, prices and timetable will exceed customer expectations. Romania is an important market for the Parma’s catchment area and we are aware that Bucharest is a destination which has been widely requested.”
Paul Whelan CEO at Parma Airport commented, “Air Vallée was quick to react to an opportunity to operate a service to Catania and we are delighted with this new service which will give passengers a good timetable, a quality service at an affordable price from January 2012. We are also pleased about the launch of Parma–Bucharest. There is a large business and Romanian community who will benefit from this Bucharest connection.”
