Bombardier Aerospace has opened a regional support office (RSO) in Mumbai, India, the first to serve both Bombardier Business Aircraft and Commercial Aircraft operators.
Operations at the 1,900 sq ft Indian RSO near Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport are currently being overseen by Subeer Kapoor, manager RSO, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. Technical support is being provided by Ravi Vats, field service representative (FSR), Commercial Aircraft and Sriram Sethuraman, field service representative, Business Aircraft.
By the end of 2010, the office will have a team of up to 12 customer services support staff who will complement Bombardier’s regional FSRs located throughout India and surrounding regions. Bombardier plans to hire a Business Aircraft RSO manager at a later date.
“The Asia-Pacific region is an important market for Bombardier, and we are moving decisively to expand our services and support presence there so that our customers can benefit from strong working relationships and quick response times in their own backyard,” said James Hoblyn, president, customer services & specialized and amphibious aircraft.
