BOC Aviation has delivered the first of six Embraer 190s to KLM Cityhopper under an operating lease agreement.
The remaining five E190s from BOC Aviation will be delivered between December 2013 and April 2014.
“We are pleased to have KLM as a new customer as BOC Aviation delivers the first aircraft to its subsidiary KLM Cityhopper in a programme to replace its existing fleet for regional flights,” remarked Robert Martin, managing director and chief executive officer of BOC Aviation. “The E190 is ideal for this strategy.”
“The delivery of the aircraft makes this the 23rd E-190 for KLM Cityhopper’s replacement programme, and is a testimony to our commitment to continuously enhance our passenger comfort, our operational reliability, the efficiency for the bottom line and to limit our environmental footprint,” added Boet Kreiken, managing director of KLM Cityhopper.
