Channel Islands-based carrier, Blue Islands, is to fly direct services from Manchester to Jersey with onward connections to Guernsey, with daily flights beginning on 31 October.
The daily flights last just over an hour to Jersey, with the onward trip to Guernsey then a 15 minute flight with passengers remaining on the aircraft to connect through.
Rob Veron, managing director of Blue Islands, commented, “I look forward to welcoming new passengers living in and around Greater Manchester and hope that they enjoy Blue Islands and our ‘welcome difference’ brand values. These are hugely popular with our passengers – no baggage charges, no debit or credit card charges and free ticket changes provide passengers with huge flexibility without having to pay any hidden charges. We believe in clear, honest and transparent pricing coupled with excellent customer service. Jersey is the ideal location for taking a break out of the city – stunning views, cliff walks, tax free shopping and of course the renowned beaches make for an excellent last minute, long weekend break.
“Manchester is a key UK destination for Channel Island passengers who use the airport as a gateway to the North of England, therefore it is important that this route remains to serve the market demand,” Veron added.
