Wizz Air has announced direct flights from Birmingham in the UK to Warsaw and Budapest, both routes beginning in mid-September with two flights a week.
The services to Birmingham, Wizz Air’s 8th UK airport, will operate from Warsaw on Mondays and Fridays, and from Budapest on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
"We are thrilled today to be adding another airport to Wizz Air’s diverse UK network. This will give consumers in the West Midlands the opportunity to explore two of the largest capital cities in central and eastern Europe – both renowned for offering excellent value to travellers,” commented Wizz Air’s Daniel de Carvalho. “Birmingham will be Wizz Air’s 8th airport in the UK and we hope our first two services to Hungary and Poland will stimulate tourism and hospitality sectors as well as strengthen business relations between the three countries.”
Wizz Air has served the West Midlands before with services to Katowice and Gdansk from Coventry Airport which ran from mid 2007 until September 2008.
