Wizz Air is enhancing its ancillary revenue portfolio in a deal with Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) to launch the BCR Wizz Air credit card, which will be available at BCR branches and via the BCR call-centre.
The BCR Wizz Air credit card offers significant advantages when purchasing services and tickets on wizzair.com: 0 RON booking fee for the first 12 months and a loyalty plan for collecting points that can be used to buy flight tickets and services.
“Wizz Air is the largest low-cost airline in Romania, BCR is the largest bank and they both share one goal: providing the best and most attractive products and services to their customers in order to make their lives easier. Starting from these premises, the BCR and Wizz Air partnership comes as a natural step”, explained Igor Zganjer, card director, BCR.
Gyorgy Abran, chief commercial officer, Wizz Air, added, “I am delighted that this BCR partnership leads to the first product of its kind on the Romanian low-fare airline market. Starting this moment, air travel becomes even more accessible for both companies’ clients.”
The first 2,000 customers of the BCR Wizz Air credit card will get 20,000 bonus points (RON 200) that they can use to purchase tickets and other services via the Wizz Air website.
The BCR Wizz Air credit card also comes with shopping insurance for 100 days after the purchase, discounts at BCR partners, the opportunity to sign up for the 3D Secure service for transactions conducted over the internet, text notifications and free monthly account statements.
