Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL) has appointed Ian Bartholomew as its interim managing director, replacing Mick Adams who is moving on to become vice-president of MRO at Etihad Airways.
Having joined Monarch in 2003 following an MRO role as Air France/KLM, Bartholomew has most recently been working as commercial director of MAEL. Andrew Swaffield, chief executive officer of The Monarch Group, noted that with 25 years in the MRO industry, Bartholomew’s experience will allow him to lead the business and help to develop its future plans.
Accepting MAEL’s good wishes for his new role, Adams commented, "It has been a privilege to lead MAEL and I am very proud of the leading MRO market positioning that we have established, which is built on the credibility of our offer and the trust of our customers.”
