Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has signed a five-year component supply agreement with Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras for its fleet of seven Airbus A330-200s."We are extremely pleased to partner with Lufthansa Technik for our A330 component support. Lufthansa Technik convinced us, that even a large MRO provider could customise its services to the individual needs of an airline which is building an international high-frequency operation that requires a high level reliability and availability," stated Azul's director of aircraft programmes and procurement, Amir Nasruddin.The agreement – for Total Component Support (TCS) – covers component maintenance, repair, overhaul and engineering services as well as pooling and home base lease at the airline's primary base in Campinas/Viracopos. The component supply will be realised via the LHT component network in Europe and the US.Joerg Femerling, LHT director of sales, explained, "This contract signature is a large success for us in the growing but highly competitive Brazilian market."
