Leasing company Avation has signed a purchase agreement for five additional ATR 72-600s, with deliveries set to take place in 2015.
The five aircraft are intended for delivery to both new and existing leasing customers of Avation. The company says it is seeing strong continued demand for the type.
Including this new order, Avation has 14 firm ATR 72-600s to be delivered before the end of 2015. As of today, thirteen ATR 72s have already been delivered on lease. In addition, Avation now has a total of 27 further options remaining to purchase additional aircraft under the agreement.
Jeff Chatfield, executive chairman of Avation, commented, "This order for five additional ATR 72-600 aircraft is a demonstration of our commitment to grow the company's portfolio with the most modern, efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft available.”
