August traffic announced for American Eagle, Executive Airlines

American Eagle Airlines has reported its August 2011 traffic figures alongside those for its wholly-owned subsidiary Executive Airlines.

American Eagle’s revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 811,147,000, compared with 727,883,000 last August, an 11.4% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) rose by 9.2% to 1,067,259,000 from 977,606,000 in August 2010.

These figures produced a load factor of 76.0% in August, 1.5 percentage points up on August 2010’s figure of 74.5%. The number of passengers boarded by Eagle during August was 1,538,507, an increase of 7.8% from the 1,427,498 carries last August.

At Executive Airlines, RPMs fell by 8.7% to 43,944,000 from 48,131,000, while ASMs were cut by 12.5% to 73,565,000 from August 2010’s figure of 84,080,000. The load factor for August was 59.7%, a rise of 2.5 pp from the 57.2% achieved last August. Passengers carried during August totalled 219,281, compared with 249,935 in August 2010, a 12.3% decrease.
