Roberto Del Pezzo has been named head of quality at ATR, where he will be in charge of implementing quality policy with respect to all ATR objectives.
Among his new responsibilities, he will be in charge of providing quality methodological support across the different segments of ATR, managing customer satisfaction measurement, interfacing with the certification agencies and managing the entire quality process associated to the ATR programme. The head of quality position has been newly created by ATR with the aim of further developing and strengthening all activities related to quality. Del Pozzo will report to ATR's CEO, Patrick de Castelbajac.
In 1994 Del Pozzo joined the quality directorate of Alenia Aeronautica (today Alenia Aermacchi) as quality control manager and then took on this same position specifically for ATR aircraft. In 1997 he was appointed as head of the production plant of Alenia at Nola (Italy), and two years later he became head of American programmes at the plant of Pomigliano (Italy), including the manufacturing activities of Alenia for the Boeing 717s, 767s, and 777s.
Before joining ATR, he moved back to the Alenia’s quality directorate in 2004, where he held different positions including SVP quality, SVP quality assurance and certification, and head of programme and product quality.
