Antalya has become Air Arabia’s second Turkish destination after Istanbul and the airline’s 97th destination worldwide.
The thrice-weekly service has just begun flying direct from the airline’s hub in Sharjah. However, from the carrier’s previous experience in Turkey, there is considerable potential for growth. Following the inauguration of Air Arabia’s Sharjah–Istanbul route in 2006, the airline expanded its Turkish operations in 2009 to include five weekly flights from its Casablanca hub in Morocco.
Air Arabia hope that Antalya will become a convenient Mediterranean holiday destination for UAE citizens with its position on the south west coast of Turkey.
Flights on the new service depart Sharjah on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 21:30 arriving in Antalya at 00:45. The return flights, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, depart Antalya at 01:25 and touch down in Sharjah at 06:25.
