American Airlines has reported traffic figures for June 2015 and the first half of the 2015 (1H15) for all regional operations operated by its subsidiaries and partners.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 2,097,944,000 in June 2015, compared with 1,942,724,000 last June, an 8.0% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 6.8% to 2,513,902,000 from 2,353,703,000. The load factor in June was 83.5%, 1.0 percentage point up on June 2014’s 82.5%. Passengers carried during the month totalled 4,856,445, which was 6.9% more than the 4,544,541 carried last June.
In 1H15, RPMs rose by 6.3% to 11,529,766,000 from 10,845,917,000 in 1H14. ASMs for the respective periods were 14,417,441,000 and 13,652,393,000 meaning a 5.6% year-on-year increase. The load factor in 1H15 was 80.0%, which was 0.6 pp up on 1H14’s figure of 79.4%. The number of passengers carried in 1H15 was 26,619,285, an increase of 5.4% on the 25,261,886 carried in 1H14.
