American Eagle has reported April traffic figures for itself and its wholly-owned subsidiary Executive Airlines.
During April, Eagle generated 742,061,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), compared with 656,479,000 in April 2010, an increase of 13.0%. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased by 13.5% to 1,007,352,000 from last April’s figure of 887,488,000.
The load factor for April thus fell slightly, by 0.3 percentage points (pp), to 73.7% from 74.0% in April 2010. During the month Eagle carried 1,419,398 passengers, 4.6% more than the 1,356,725 carried in the same month last year.
At Executive Airlines during April, RPMs totalled 43,596,000, a slight decrease of 0.6% from April 2010’s figure of 43,863,000. ASMs were cut by 0.7% to 78,098,000 from 78,640,000, leaving the load factor constant at 55.8%. Executive carried 225,537 passengers in April, compared with 232,732 in April 2010, a 3.1% fall.
