American Eagle and Executive Airlines September traffic announced

American Eagle Airlines has reported September 2011 traffic figures for itself and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Executive Airlines.

Eagle’s revenue passenger miles totalled 762,143,000, a 10.1% increase over last September’s figure of 692,292,000. Available seat miles increased by 9.1% to 1,032,532,000 from 945,977,000 in the same month last year.

The load factor thus increased slightly, by 0.6 percentage points, to 73.8% from 73.2%. And Eagle carried 1,476,867 passengers during September, compared with 1,375,317 twelve months previously – a 7.4% increase.

At Executive Airlines, RPMs numbered 34,836,000 in September, down 7.4% compared with the 37,604,000 recorded in September 2010. ASMs were cut by 10.1% to 64,574,000 from 71,859,000 for the respective periods.

The load factor was 53.9%, which was 1.6 pp up on last September’s 52.3%. During the monthe, Executive carried 177,307 passengers, 9.0% fewer than the 194,876 carried in September 2010.
