American Airlines has reported traffic data for its regional operations, carried out both by its wholly-owned subsidiaries and contract flying partners.
The figures showed an increase of 6.5% in RPMs from 1,973,689,000 in May 2014 to 2,101,173,000 in May 2015. ASMs for regional flights in the respective periods grew from 2,388,119,000 to 2,519,417,000, an increase of 5.5%.
These figures created an increase in the load factor of 0.8 percentage points from 82.6% to 83.4% for the regional operations.
The number of passengers carried in May 2015 was 4,900,334, up 5.9% on the 4,625,805 carried last May.
