American Airlines Group has reported March 2014 traffic results for its regional operations including wholly owned subsidiaries and operating results from capacity purchase carriers flying under American Airlines and US Airways codes.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 1,888,546,000, compared with 1,824,808,000 in March 2013, a 3.5% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were cut by 0.4% to 2,376,354,000 from 2,384,873,000 over the respective periods.
The load factor thus rose by 3.0 percentage points to 79.5% from March 2013’s 76.5%. In total, the subsidiaries and partner airlines carried 4,399,130 passengers during the month, compared with 4,223,310 in March 2013, a 4.2% increase.
