Allegiant Air has announced nonstop jet service between the Californian airports of Stockton and Long Beach to begin on 1 July.
“We’re pleased to bring yet another affordable and convenient way for our customers to get away,” remarked Andrew Levy, Allegiant’s president. “In 2006, we began serving San Joaquin Valley residents by offering nonstop flights to Las Vegas. We look forward to offering even more low-cost service to the community with our new flights to Long Beach.”
The new flights will operate five times weekly between Stockton Metropolitan Airport (SCK) and Long Beach Airport (LGB) with service on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Flights will depart Stockton at 11:05 arriving in Long Beach at 12:20. Flights leaving Long Beach will depart at 13:00 arriving in Stockton at 14:15 (all flight times are local).
Allegiant, which began low-cost, nonstop service to Las Vegas on 16 June 2006, will utilise 150-seat, MD-80s on the new route.
