Allegiant inaugurates nonstop flights to Southwest Florida

tOn 4 November and 6 November, 2015, Allegiant introduced nonstop flights to Southwest Florida from Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Akron/Canton, Ohio respectively.ttThe carrier plans to inaugurate a third service from Kansas City, Montana, on 13 November, 2015.The new flights are to operate twice weekly to Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), with Allegiant estimating they will bring more than 61,000 additional visitors to Southwest Florida each year and generate over an estimated $91.3 million in total visitor spending annually.“We’re excited to launch new flights from these three markets, giving these communities a true ultra-low-cost opportunity to visit the sunny vacation destination of southwest Florida,” explained Jude Bricker, SVP planning for Allegiant Travel Company. “We look forward to bringing more visitors and economic growth to the area.”
