Allegiant Air’s preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2010 have been announced with passenger growth of more than 20%.
The airline generated 472,141,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs) compared with 383,342,000 last August, a 23.2% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 23.6% to 525,399,000 from 425,151,000.
These figures created a small drop in the load factor – 0.3 percentage points to 89.9% from 90.2%. The number of passengers carried by Allegiant during the month rose by 22.8% to 517,680 from 421,422 in August 2009.
