Allegiant announces April 2010 traffic figures

Allegiant Air has reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2010.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) grew by 14.4% to 457,731,000 from 400,025,000 in April 2009. Available seat miles (ASMs) wewre increased by a similar amount – 14.2% – to 505,680,000 in April 2010 from 442,757,000 last April.

This meant only a small load factor increase of 0.2 percentage points, but this was from the very high load factor of 90.3% in April 2009 to April 2010’s 90.5%. The carrier experienced a rise of 8.6% in passengers carried to 484,079 from April 2009’s figure of 445,881.
