The tenth Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) in ‘full’ configuration has been delivered to Aeroflot by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC), completing the process of replacing the ‘light’ configuration aircraft in the airline’s fleet with ‘full’ versions.
SCAC will continue to supply SSJ100s as part of the signed delivery contract for 30 aircraft of this type. Aeroflot is scheduled to receive eight more SSJ100s by the end of 2014.
Presently, Aeroflot is the largest operator of Sukhoi Superjet 100. Since the beginning of operation by the airline, ten aircraft have performed more than 20,000 commercial flights with the total duration of more than 30,000 flight hours.
The ‘light’ version aircraft, previously removed from Aeroflot fleet, have been successfully operated by other Russian airlines in both scheduled and charter service.
