Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has signed lease agreements to place 20 additional aircraft including E-Jets for Alitalia and Kenya Airways.
ALC is leasing 10 new aircraft to Alitalia – five Embraer 175s and five Embraer 190LRs under 12 year leases.
Kenya Airways has signed eight year lease agreements with ALC for three new Embraer 190ARs, scheduled for delivery in August and September 2011, and May 2012.
In other placements, SriLankan Airlines is to take three new A320-200s and S7 Airlines is also leasing three new A320-200s.
ALC also announced that it has acquired one A320-200 (MSN 1686), which is currently on lease to Spring Airlines.
“The placements of these aircraft allow us to expand the global footprint of our fleet. We continue to strengthen longstanding relationships with our airline partners along with building new affiliations for ALC,” remarked Marc Baer, executive vice-president of Air Lease Corporation.
