Regional operations operated for the Alaska Air Group by its subsidiary Horizon Air and third-party regional carriers, SkyWest Airlines and PenAir, showed a load factor increase of 1.5 percentage points.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) rose by 14.5% to 315 million in September 2016 from 275 million last September. Available seat miles (ASMs) went up to 388 million from 345 million for the respective months, an increase of 12.5%.
The load factor thus rose by 1.5 pp to 81.2% from September 2015’s figure of 79.7%. The rounded figure of revenue passengers carried increased by 5,3% to 800,000 in September 2016 compared with 760,000 a year ago.
