flydubai has placed new orders for Recaro Aircraft Seating’s BL3510, which will be installed on the carrier’s newly ordered Boeing 737-800s, due to begin delivery in February 2016.
flydubai’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, explained, “Our focus is on the cost, comfort and convenience of our passengers. The Recaro seats are advanced and benefit from the latest design combined with innovation, comfort and easy maintenance. We are happy to extend our partnership with Recaro to be the exclusive seat manufacturer for our economy class across our entire fleet.”
“We are very pleased to continue working with flydubai, and we are proud to be part of their expanding fleet,” added Mark Hiller, Recaro’s CEO. “The seat’s strongest features are its ergonomics and its comfort, which continue to be positively rated by passengers. In these competitive times, it is a must to supply lightweight and space-saving designs to support airlines to operate the aircraft more efficiently, as well as to reduce environmental impacts.”
Recaro has been supplying seats to flydubai since it began operations in 2009, and almost 9,000 seats have been delivered to the airline so far.
