AirTran Airways has opened new pilot and flight attendant bases in Milwaukee for more than 50 Boeing 737 pilots and 50 flight attendants, enabling the airline to continue to expand its operations from the city.
"Opening these crew bases is the next natural step of our expansion in Milwaukee," explained Bob Fornaro, AirTran’s chairman, president and CEO. "We are extremely proud of the fact that we have been able to keep every single promise we’ve made to this community, including this one. We look forward to many more years of promises kept."
AirTran Airways flies to 18 of the top 20 most popular destinations in the US from Milwaukee and has just begun its newest route from there – to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
