AirTran Airways has announced the continued expansion of its burgeoning Caribbean flight schedule while unveiling its seasonal travel schedule.
The Caribbean expansion includes daily service to Aruba and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from the carrier’s hub in Atlanta as well as new, non-stop flights from Milwaukee to Cancun, Mexico.
Seasonal service will also begin soon to several of the airline’s popular spring and summer destinations, including new, non-stop flights from Baltimore/Washington to San Francisco.
From its Atlanta hub AirTran will operate a daily service to Aruba from 7 March. Also from Atlanta, from 16 February will be daily flights to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. In addition to Aruba and Punta Cana, the airline is also expanding flights from Atlanta to Cancun, Mexico, to double daily on 16 February, beginning flights to Bermuda on 26 May and resuming seasonal, non-stop service from Atlanta to Portland, Maine on 4 May.
Out of Baltimore/Washington (BWI), AirTran is launching a daily seasonal service to San Francisco on 26 May. Before that, seasonal service begins from BWI to Los Angeles on 8 March and Seattle on 4 May. The airline will also begin previously announced service to Bermuda and increase service to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to twice daily on 5 April. First up though is the addition of a second daily flight on Saturdays and Sundays from BWI to Montego Bay, Jamaica, on 26 February.
AirTran will also expand its flight offering from Milwaukee this summer with new, non-stop service to Cancun beginning on 28 May. The carrier is also increasing service to Tampa, FL, and Phoenix to twice daily from Milwaukee for the summer beginning on 3 May.
Down in Tampa, AirTran will resume seasonal daily service to/from Asheville, NC, on 6 May. Before that, the airline is launching previously announced service from Tampa to Key West on 10 March and to San Juan, Puerto Rico, on 5 April.
