AirTran Airways has released details of new seasonal services, beginning in May, between many of its destinations.
These include: San Antonio, TX, to/from Baltimore-Washington and Orlando; Allentown, PA, to/from Atlanta and Orlando; Asheville, NC, to/from Tampa and Orlando; Wichita, KS, to/from Orlando; and Harrisburg, PA, to/from Atlanta.
"This new seasonal service will give AirTran Airways’ customers more nonstop options for travelling around the country during the peak summer months," explained Tad Hutcheson, the airline’s vice-president of marketing and sales. "We’re making it easier and more affordable than ever to get to that family reunion, enjoy a beach vacation, take a spin on the newest theme ride in Orlando or just visit a new and exciting destination."
From San Antonio, the daily Baltimore/Washington service and that to Orlando will both begin on 27 May.
Allentown–Atlanta will begin daily service on 4 May, while on the same day the frequency between Allentown and Orlando will increase to create a daily service.
From Asheville, the new four-times weekly seasonal service to and from Tampa will begin on 4 May, and the number of flights between Asheville and Orlando will increase from three to four flights per week, again on 4 May.
Nonstop flights every Saturday between Wichita and Orlando will be available from 27 May. And finally, AirTran will resume seasonal service between Harrisburg and Atlanta, with a daily service from 4 May.
