airberlin has announced the launch of nonstop scheduled services from London Gatwick’s North Terminal to Nuremberg and Hanover in February 2011.
The new routes from Gatwick will give the airline its second London base. The company’s UK and Ireland manager, Titus Johnson, explained, "By operating from both Stansted and Gatwick, the airberlin product will be more accessible to a greater number of people in the London and southeast England catchments. More people will be able to benefit from airberlin’s full service at lower fares."
The services are currently planned to operate from 7 February until 31 October 2011. airberlin will offer twice daily flights to Hanover (once daily on Saturday), and twice daily flights to Nuremberg from Monday to Friday with one service on Sunday.
