airBaltic Training has announced that its Bombardier Q400 Type Rating programme has been approved by Latvia’s Civil Aviation Agency.
Since airBaltic received its first Q400 from Bombardier in early 2010, the airline says it used the time to adapt to the type, to understand its performance and features. Finally, says airBaltic Training, the company feels confident to deliver its knowledge to external customers.
Ground school, cockpit mock-up and SOP training will take place in Riga, with full flight simulator sessions in Stockholm. The course will conclude with time in an actual aircraft right from Riga International Airport.
The first course is scheduled to start on 12 December 2011.
