airBaltic reports more than 3m passengers carried in 2010

Latvian airline airBaltic carried 3,206,735 passengers in 2010, a 16% increase compared with 2009’s total of 2,757,404.

The load factor for 2010 went up by 1 percentage point to 69% as the carrier performed 22% more flights compared with 2009.

In December 2010, airBaltic carried 208,282 passengers, a 4% decrease compared with December 2009’s figure of 216,051. The load factor for the month fell to 63% in December 2010 versus 66% in December 2009.

airBaltic president and CEO Bertolt Flick commented, “airBaltic achieved good results in December. However, we were affected by unusually severe weather conditions leading to changes in the flight schedule.”
