AirAsia X has signed an extension to its contract with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) Philippines for support covering light C-checks to be done this year for the carrier’s Airbus fleet.
The new deal comes a year after the two signed a three-year base maintenance agreement that AirAsia X’s fleet of nine A330s and two A340s.
Anaz Ahmad Tajuddin, AirAsia X’s head of engineering commented, “The expansion of the agreement between AirAsia X and Lufthansa Technik Philippines is our commitment towards providing continuous quality services to our passengers. The teamwork and partnership we receive from LHT Philippines has ensured proven reliability of our aircraft thus far.”
