From 28 June 2016, AirAsia will shift its operations in Yangon, Myanmar from Terminal 2 to the new Terminal 1.
Passengers travelling on all flights operated by Malaysia AirAsia (flight code AK) and Thai AirAsia (flight code FD) are advised to check-in at Terminal 1 from the effective date, which is within walking distance of the old terminal. All travellers flying to or from Yangon will be informed by the airline of the change via email and SMS.
Malaysia AirAsia operates two routes from Kuala Lumpur and Penang into Yangon, while Thai AirAsia operates one route from Bangkok into Yangon, creating a total of 45 weekly flights.
