AirAsia has added more connecting destinations to its Fly-Thru list, a service introduced last year with connecting flight options from selected airports in the AirAsia route network which covers 150 routes, 76 destinations and 22 countries.
Owing to the demand for Fly-Thru, AirAsia has decided to extend the service from Indonesian cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, and Surabaya direct to cities in China such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Macau and Hong Kong via its hub in the Low-Cost Terminal at Kuala Lumpur.
The major convenience offered by Fly-Thru is the ease of having check-in baggage tagged to final destinations, which mean that passengers no longer need to pick up their bags and check-in again to their onward destination.
More destinations and connecting points for Fly-Thru service will be announced in the coming months.
