In a new five-year contract, StandardAero is to provide Air Nostrum Líneas Aéreas del Mediterráneo with MRO services for the RE220 Honeywell auxiliary power units (APUs) on its fleet of more than 20 Bombardier CRJ900 and CRJ1000 aircraft.
Signed in July, the agreement serves as an extension of a previous two-year arrangement established between StandardAero and Air Nostrum in 2013.
“We highly value our relationship with Air Nostrum,” averred Robert Cords, president of airlines and fleets, StandardAero. “Signing a new MRO agreement, for an even longer contract period, demonstrates the success of our partnership, our ability to help Air Nostrum to effectively manage maintenance costs and their confidence in the continued services provided by StandardAero.”
Air Nostrum is one of the largest CRJ operators in Europe. The carrier serves a network of nearly 100 domestic and international routes to more than 50 airports as well as operating charter flights.
StandardAero is an OEM-approved RE220 APU Authorised Repair Facility, with Air Nostrum’s RE220 APUs due to be serviced at the company’s Maryville, Tennessee facility.
