For the first time, Air Iceland has signed up to Travelport Rich Content and Branding, making the airline's content available from Travelport's Travel Commerce Platform.
Travelport-connected travel agencies globally now have access to Air Iceland’s fares. This is a multi-year agreement with Air Iceland, a carrier that offers domestic flights covering the North Atlantic countries of Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Ingi Þór Guðmundsson, director of sales and marketing at Air Iceland commented, “Travelport’s technology is in high demand within the travel industry and we are looking forward to becoming part of that story. We are pleased to be taking advantage of Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform and we also believe that its merchandising capabilities will help travel agents to promote our offering, as travellers are showing increased interest to the North Atlantic, and better serve their customers.”
