Air Berlin has reported its passenger traffic figures for June 2010 and the first half of the calendar year.
During the month, Air Berlin carried 3,022,294 passengers, an increase of 3.4% over June 2009’s 2,922,098 passengers. Load factor however, decreased to 75.1%, 3.7 percentage points below June 2009’s load factor of 78.8%. Revenue per available seat kilometre (RASK) decreased by 9.3% from 6.07 to 5.51 eurocents.
In 1H10, Air Berlin carried a total of 14,227,985 passengers, slightly less (–0.8%) than in 1H09 when 14,337,952 passengers were carried. The load factor for the respective periods decreased by 2.2 pp to 72.6% from 74.8%.
