New Japanese low-fare airline company, A&F Aviation, has submitted its application, required by the country’s Civil Aeronautics Act, for an Air Operators Certificate to the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
This milestone is part of the carrier’s acceleration towards its proposed launch of commercial flights. Destinations from its home base of Kansai International Airport are expected to include Sapporo/Shin-Chitose and Fukuoka no later than March 2012 and Seoul in May 2012 using Airbus A320-200s.
A&F Aviation intends to make a further announcement about its branding in May 2011.
