Aer Lingus passenger numbers up 2.3% in October 2014

Aer Lingus Group has announced its traffic statistics for October 2014, during which the total number of passengers carried, including Aer Lingus Regional, was 979,000, up 2.3% compared with October 2013.

Long haul traffic increased by 29% to 129,000 passengers in October compared with 100,000 last October, while short haul traffic saw a drop to 738,000 passengers from 754,000 in October 2013

The overall passenger load factor for the month was up 2.4 percentage points to 79.6%. The short haul load factor increased to 75.5% while the long-haul figure was 84.6% compared with 80.3% in October last year.
