Aer Lingus has reported its total traffic for the month of February, including Aer Lingus Regional scheduled flights.
The number of passengers carried in total (including Aer Lingus Regional) was down 1.2% to 640,000 passengers compared to February 2013’s figure of 648,000. For the mainline figures, Aer Lingus long-haul passengers increased by 7.0% from 43,000 to 46,000, while short-haul passenger numbers were down 3.8% to 512,000 in February 2014.
The overall passenger load factor in February 2014 was 67.3% compared with 68.3% for the same month in 2013.
The number of Aer Lingus Regional passengers carried on the flights operated by Aer Arran rose by 12.3% to 82,000 from 73 ,000.
