Aer Lingus Group has reported its traffic data for the month of December 2013.
Aer Lingus mainline’s flown passenger load factor in December 2013 increased by 3.0 percentage points on December 2012 to 73.9%. Short-haul flown load factor was 68.3%, an increase of 1.7 pp on December 2012, with capacity decreasing 5.1%. Long-haul flown load factor was 82.0%, an increase of 4.3 pp on December 2012, with capacity increasing 4.9% on prior year.
Total flown passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional services operated by Aer Arann, were 733,000 in December 2013 compared with 734,000 in December 2012.
Short-haul flown passengers, including Aer Lingus Regional, in December 2013 numbered 648,000, a decrease of 1.5% on December 2012, while long-haul flown passengers in December 2013 were 85,000, an increase of 11.8% on December 2012.
