Aer Lingus Group has announced its traffic statistics for the month of June 2014.
Total traffic for the month, including Aer Lingus Regional scheduled flights operated by Stobart Air, was up 7.8% to 1,125,000 passengers compared with 1,044,000 passengers in June 2013.
Short haul passenger numbers increased by 2.6% from 833,000 to 854,000, while long haul passenger numbers grew by 21.5% to 141,000 in June 2014. The overall passenger load factor in June 2014 was 85.5% compared with 86.2% in the same month in 2013
Total traffic for the first half of 2014, including Aer Lingus Regional scheduled flights, rose by 3.4% to 5,235,000 passengers although overall numbers carried were affected by the one-day industrial stoppage in May and its knock-on effects on bookings.
