From June to October 2015, Adria Airways will operate three times weekly flights (on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings) between London Southend Airport and Maribor, Slovenia, using an Airbus A319 aircraft.
“We are excited about our new scheduled connection from the second biggest city in Slovenia, Maribor, to London Southend Airport,” stated Mark Anžur, Adria Airways’ CEO. “We are looking forward to the beginning of a successful partnership and bringing our passengers to both attractive destinations, with the new route offering the travellers from both countries to explore new destinations and everything both countries have to offer.”
London Southend Airport’s CCO, Roger Clements, added, “We are absolutely delighted Adria Airlines chose London Southend Airport above all the other London airports. Maribor has a wealth of things to offer travellers from Essex, London and beyond looking for everything from a weekend break to longer holidays at any time of the year. I am sure these flights will prove popular.”
Clements also confirmed that throughout June and July, passengers travelling from London Southend will be offered a complimentary standard train ticket to London.
