Adria Airways is to connect Ljubljana Airport to seven new destinations next year.
The Slovenian regional carrier announced that with its next summer timetable it will continue flights to the Ukranian capital Kiev and will also connect Slovenia to six new European cities and popular holiday destinations.
In the 2018 summer season Adria Airways will fly to Hamburg, and Bucharest four times a week and to Geneva and Sofia three times a week.
The airline will also fly to Dubrovnik in Croatia and to the Croatian island of Brac twice a week, both beginning on 28 April.
“At Adria Airways we want to maintain our position as a reliable airline and good market player. I believe that by introducing these new connections we will also be opening up new opportunities for both business and tourism,” said Adria Airways managing director Arno Schuster. Adria currently connects Ljubljana to 17 destinations around Europe with more than 190 scheduled flights a week.
“2018 will be key for Adria Airways and this is why we are happy to follow our growth strategy, and for summer 2018 we will announce seven new destinations out of Ljubljana. We will start flying to Hamburg, Geneva, Dubrovnik, Sofia, Otopeni [Bucharest], Brac, and the last destination, that we will continue, is Kiev,” said Adria Airways commercial director Christian Schneider.
“This is good for the market, this is good for the customer, because it gives more variety, more choice. We have seen the demand already in 2017 and this is why we believe that 2018 with seven new destinations will be good for the market.”
