As of today, Matt Smith will replace Rod Farley as CEO of Zodiac Inflight Innovations (Zii).
After graduating from the University of Wyoming with a BA and an MA in electrical engineering, Smith went on to work for both Rockwell Collins and Honeywell Aerospace. His most recent role was senior VP of operations at Panasonic Avionics Corporation, where he was also the chairman of the Panasonic Avionics Corporation Singapore joint venture.
Smith will replace Farley, who is now set to retire. Zii claims Farley was instrumental in making the company a key player in the in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) industry due to his customer focus whilst serving as a leader in the former IMS Company and as Zii CEO for the last 2 years.
Smith will work at Zii’s office in Brea, California.
