Western Outdoor Interactive (WOI) has collaborated with Magzter to provide passengers access to over 1200 international and regional magazines as in-flight entertainment (IFE).
The titles can be accessed through WOI's 'aeroMagazines' service and will include global publications such as Cosmopolitan, Fast Company, Home & Decor, Elle and Businessweek, as well as regional titles from all over the world including the Asia-Pacific, Europe and the USA.
AeroMagazines is designed so that Magzter’s content retains high levels of quality at any zoom level and offers a digital reading experience with page curl animations and two-page spreads.
'The opportunity to join hands with such a quality content provider was something that immediately excited us,” commented Rishad Banatwalla, General Manager of Marketing at WOI. “It allowed the availability of such a vast library without creating issues of onboard weight and yet not compromising customer expectations.”
“We are quite excited and gung-ho about this new strategic alliance with WOI to distribute our digital magazines to passengers through the in-flight entertainment channel on the aircraft,” said Vijay Radhakrishnan, President and Co-Founder of Magzter. “This is keeping in line with our vision to innovate and explore new avenues for Magzter to reach out to the global consumers and this step forward will now allow them to read digital magazines even when they are traveling on a flight.”
Girish Ramdas, CEO and Co-Founder of Magzter added, “Magzter is keenly looking at enhancing the experience of digital reading to the global consumer and this development could mean that this just might act as a catalyst in accelerating the shift worldwide to digital reading.”
