WestJet and GuestLogix are to begin working together to leverage the airline’s streamed in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) portal to create ancillary revenue by offering products and services
via passenger’s personal electronic devices (PEDs).
The expanded renewal agreement between the two companies will also see WestJet deploying the GuestLogix ‘Ancillary Insights’ business intelligence platform, which GuestLogix claim will provide the airline with relevant analysis and reports.
Elsewhere, the agreement sees the continuation of WestJet’s use of the GuestLogix retail platform and handheld point-of-sale devices – to sell food and beverages in-flight – and the company’s ‘Global Payment Gateway’ system for revenue protection.
