Virgin Atlantic has unveiled the first of four new Airbus A330-200 aircraft to join their fleet.
“Daydream Believer” will enter into service in March 2018, followed over the next few weeks ‘Scarlett O’Hara’, ‘Honky Tonk Woman’ while Strawberry Fields will join in spring 2018.
The 287 seater Airbus A330-200 are fully Wi-Fi enabled and will initially operate flights from Manchester to New York, Boston, San Francisco and Barbados. They offer a choice of 19 fully flat beds in Upper Class, 46 extra leg room economy seats, and 222 economy seats – all offering in-flight entertainment showing over 400 hours of films, TV shows, music, and games.
The unique Upper Class cabin introduces three new seat styles for Virgin Atlantic customers to choose from – the Love Suite located in the centre of the cabin and ideal for couples or groups travelling and looking to dine and watch movies together; the Freedom Solo Suite which lets customers unwind and stretch out with direct aisle access, and the Corner Solo Suite which provides customers with extra privacy and a great view.
Customers will also be able to select from a special barista style coffee menu; enjoy free messaging, and an improved amenity kit featuring ‘Happy Socks’. The A330-200s will be fitted with Virgin Atlantic’s premium economy cabin towards the end of 2018, featuring the signature Wonder Wall.
