Rockwell Collins has equipped an A319 VIP aircraft with its Venue cabin management and high-definition (HD) entertainment system with the installation performed by Jet Aviation Basel.
The upgraded cabin features HD monitors and digital audio for watching Blu-Ray movies and other high-resolution content, such as real-time flight information from Rockwell Collins’ Airshow 3D Moving Map. Venue includes features and functionality of advanced home entertainment systems and executive suites.
“Venue’s scalability, ease of installation and flexibility for future technology have made it the ideal solution for business aircraft cabins, especially narrow bodies like ACJs,” explained vice president and general manager, Cabin Systems for Rockwell Collins, Dave Austin.
“Venue has proved to be an excellent IFE solution for a complex completions project,” commented Neil Boyle, vice president, Completions Center at Jet Aviation Basel. “We have been impressed with Rockwell Collins’ project management and strict adherence to schedule.”
